Roadblog is an independent, non-profit travel portal about road adventures from around the world.
Here, we bring together travel stories and practical information for independent travelers: guides to countries and regions, places to stay, points of interest, trip preparation notes, lessons learned, and mistakes worth avoiding. Our coverage ranges from familiar European destinations to remote corners of Central Asia and the former Soviet Union.
Roadblog also includes our Map Portal. Today, it lets travelers explore places on an interactive map and discover location-based information and photographs.
We are developing the Map Portal into a practical route-planning and travel-sharing tool: a place to publish and share tracks, save geotagged locations and photographs, exchange ratings and reviews, and find local guides. Some of these capabilities are still on our roadmap, and we will introduce them as the project grows.
